Eric F. Lopez Profile “I am who I am, not a whole lot there.  I’m just straightforward.”  

Eric Lopez has been employed with TEDA TPCO America since August 2017 as the company’s Safety Technician.  He begins each day greeting his fellow safety team with a pleasing disposition, eager to start the work day.

Having worked in the safety field for more than 20 years, Eric’s day to day duties include actively promoting safety and health management systems to all of the TEDA TPCO America team, this includes evaluating field safety conditions through audits and engaging employees and re-enforcing safe behaviors in an effort to support a positive safety culture.

A former Captain for the Refinery Terminal Fire Company (RTFC), Eric says he carries much of what he learned as a fire fighter into his everyday duties, “making sure everyone goes home safely is a goal accomplished for the TEDA TPCO America team,” he adds.  “He’s always here, very dependable, anytime you have a question he is always there with an answer.  Eric provides guidance, when I first started working here, he was always there for me.  It’s like a family,”  says coworker Neal Cortez, Environmental Specialist.

Eric is a proud graduate of Calallen High School where he played football.  Eric has been married to his beloved wife Grace for 29 years and is excited about his upcoming anniversary.  He is the very proud father of Jaclyn Lopez, 28, a taekwondo instructor and 4^th degree black belt.   In his spare time, Eric likes to spend time with his family and his English bulldog, Hero, an anniversary present he was given nine years ago by his wife.  His weekends are filled with honey dos around his home, cooking and washing his massive truck.
